Flicks in the Sticks is back for the autumn so if you missed these popular films or would like to see them again, then pop along to Welshpool Town Hall. There is a showing once a month on a Monday night and doors open at 6.30pm. Films start at 7pm and light refreshments are available.

Monday 11th September: Lion (PG) 2016
The moving story of a young boy who becomes separated from his family and, after living on the streets of Calcutta, gets sent to an orphanage. He is adopted by a family in Tasmania and has a happy life with a loving family. However, he is haunted by memories of his childhood home and the film traces his search for the past.
Stars: Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman & Rooney Mara.

Monday 16th October: Their Finest (12a) 2016
The story of  two screenwriters, one a novice, and a makeshift cast and crew making a film to boost Britain's morale during the Second World War. Hopefully the film would also inspire the Americans to join in.
Stars: Gemma Arterton, Sam Claflin & Bill Nighy.

Thursday 2nd November: Sing (U) 2016 Children's Film
3D Computer Animated Musical Comedy Film. An entertaining film about a group of animals that enter a singing competition. Starring the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon & taron Egerton. Doors open11am for 11.30am start. Child £1, Adults £2.50

Monday 13th November: Hidden Figures (PG) 2016
Based on the true life stories of three African-American female mathematicians who crossed all gender,race and professional lines to work in NASA. The race to put a man in space was intense between Russia and the USA and these three women were instumental in calculating the launch and safe return of John Glenn.
Stars: Taraji P Henson, Octavia Spencer & Janelle Monae.

Monday 11th December: Dunkirk (PG) 2017. (If Available)
The story of the evacuation by every available naval and civilian boat of thousands of Allied troops from the beaches of Dunkirk during the Second World War.
Stars: Harry Styles, Kenneth Branagh & Tom Hardy.
