Montgomeryshire Angling Association have the fishing rights to a large stretch of the Montgomery Canal through Welshpool, Moel y Garth Pools near Guilsfield and various stretches of local rivers. Annual, Week or Day permits can be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre.
